Vivo Z1 Pro is set to become the first Snapdragon 712 chipset based phone in India. Vivo and e-commerce partner are all over the internet with the teasers of the phone. As we reported earlier, the Z-series phone comes with a 32MP in-display camera. The punch-hole selfie snapper has a fixed f/2.0 aperture opening.
It features a vertically stacked triple rear camera setup as evident from the Instagram video that we shared recently. The primary one is a 16MP sensor with an f/1.78 aperture. This is followed by an 8MP sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle snapper, and finally, a 2MP depth sensor that has an f/2.4 aperture for bokeh-ish portraits.
Recently we took the Vivo Z1 camera for a spin and here are some of the images that we snapped.

The photos retain details and sharpness. The colors are vivid. Here are a few more photos for your reference.
Vivo Z1 Pro Camera Samples: Portraits
The camera treatment on human subjects is plain and simple- workable. The portrait mode though blurs the background smoothly, the edge detection seems to do a decent job.
The beautify mode seems to fixes all the skin blemishes and it is available for rear camera as well. Of course, there is an option to turn it off if you are not a fan of beautified images like me.
The high-res 32MP sensor further notches up the selfie game. The results are similar to what we got from the Vivo V15 Pro. It is also complemented by the beautification algorithms that does what it claims if that’s your thing. However, when it comes to bokeh mode, the blurring is finicky ever so slightly.
Vivo Z1 Pro Camera Samples: Low Light and Night
Although the camera struggles under extreme darkness, the night mode brings life to the photos as more colors and details are visible. Take a close look at the same scene in with and without night mode. The availability of a night mode is still a big deal.
Here are some more night time camera samples for a better idea.
